UNIQUE AND INNOVATIVE SPACE FOR COMMUNITY

College Park Church’s desire was to create a unique space for connection. Coming out of the Covid shut-down season, the hunger for
in-person connection was real and tangible. The church specifically wnated to build a four seasons pavilion where they could host people on an everyday basis but would also be a place for the ceremonies that mark our lives in community, including weddings, connection, and hospitality.

A desire to connect with God in nature is a phenomenon that Aspen Group has promoted since our early research with Barna Group, so the team set out to meet this need through specific design elements, including multiple garage doors to open the space up in seasonable weather, firepits for fellowship, and playgrounds for the local community to enjoy.

We also had the privilege of partnership with a friend of the church, Purposeful Design, a furniture builder with a ministry focus, local to Indy. They helped us construct some of the beautiful designs you see in the photos and we had the honor of visiting them at their headquarters.

The goal of this space was beauty and connection. Details contributed to the sense of a human touch to create a delightful place for families, neighbors, and friends to experience the love of God in community.
