Project Developer in the Indianapolis Office
After graduating from Ball State University with an Architecture degree and spending over 12 years in sales as a manufacturer’s representative, I decided to take a “time out” to listen for God’s calling on my life. Because I was a highly invested volunteer at my church, it was a natural step for me to move into full time ministry.
During my time as a Children’s Ministry Director, I served on the building committee for a $30 million addition/renovation project at my church. My passion for construction was confirmed during this project, so I left my position and went to work for a custom home builder. While I found my passion for construction being fulfilled, I had difficulty connecting it with the passion for ministry I had developed.
When I learned about the mission, vision and leadership of Aspen, it was an easy choice for me to join the team. It is amazing how my checkered past of architecture, sales, ministry and construction experience are such a perfect fit for my responsibilities with the Aspen Group.

The most rewarding part of my job is …
Rolling up my sleeves with church leaders to work through the challenges that ministry leaders face on a daily basis. It is especially rewarding when the ideas, which sometimes seem “far-fetched” become tangible reality.
Music on my iPod …
I have many different genres of music on my iPhone. I have also started downloading books via Kindle for iPhone. My latest read is Mad Church Disease: Overcoming the Burnout Epidemic, by Anne Jackson.
Favorite family tradition …
For the past 7 years my family has attended a Christian family camp, in Green Lake, Wisconsin, called Northern Pines. It is a week full of relaxation and fun with a program for every age group. We have listened to many great speakers teach about family and the Bible and have created many life long memories and friends.
Hobbies or pastimes …
I was a springboard diver in Jr. High, High School and College. My coach at Ball State University, John Wingfield, was the United States Olympic diving team coach for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
