Ed Bahler

President and CEO
The Aspen story originated with my dad, Ed Sr. He believed in making a difference at church, work, and the community. To make a difference, he was passionate about helping people multiply their talents. I was blessed to graduate from Purdue with an Engineering degree. Instead of going on to grad school I went back home to join in my dad’s story. As our company, FBi Buildings, grew it became natural for us to reach out to churches which soon grew into a separate division called Aspen Group. Following dad’s example, I feel led to help reshape ministry by multiplying talent to better help people find their way back to God.

The most rewarding part of my job is...
I’m grateful to be a part of a movement that is called to help restart the church for the Digital Age. It’s something that has such far reaching significance. Secondarily, I feel a deep conviction to write a story big enough for my kids and others to join as well.
My favorite family tradition is...
Every summer my entire family (11 adults and 4 grandkids) head to Hilton Head Island, SC for vacation. Each year becomes a special memory for me; a great reminder to slow down and cherish the things that really matter.
Periodicals I regularly read...
To keep up with culture, ministry, and leadership I have to read a large assortment of magazines – everything from Rev! and Leadership Journal to Fortune, Forbes and Newsweek.
If I could learn one new skill it would be...
I would fine tune my speaking and writing skills to be more engaging and compelling.
Last book I enjoyed reading...
The Forgotten Ways by Alan Hirsch
Words to live by...
